The Seed Order
It's time to think about what I'm planting in the garden this spring.
What a selection! I know I'm going to try artichokes again. It's like a mission now. I need to devise a battle plan for them.

Progress is good, I've finished the heel flap.
Starting the gusset on Tuesday.
Still loving this Naked Sock yarn.
The tree skirt is available for stitching again. I did the beaded shell chain in a spiral. A spiral with flat spots. It will be fine covered with presents.
It's an interesting stitch, but it looks sloppy and too fussy to me.
Glad to have learned it, probably won't ever stitch it again.
The Broken Window by Jeffery Deaver
From the Goodreads website:
"Bestselling master of suspense Jeffery Deaver is back with a brand-new Lincoln Rhyme thriller.Lincoln Rhyme and partner/paramour Amelia Sachs return to face a criminal whose ingenious staging of crimes is enabled by a terrifying access to information....
When Lincoln's estranged cousin Arthur Rhyme is arrested on murder charges, the case is perfect -- too perfect. Forensic evidence from Arthur's home is found all over the scene of the crime, and it looks like the fate of Lincoln's relative is sealed.
At the behest of Arthur's wife, Judy, Lincoln grudgingly agrees to investigate the case. Soon Lincoln and Amelia uncover a string of similar murders and rapes with perpetrators claiming innocence and ignorance -- despite ironclad evidence at the scenes of the crime. Rhyme's team realizes this "perfect" evidence may actually be the result of masterful identity theft and manipulation.
An information service company -- the huge data miner Strategic Systems Datacorp -- seems to have all the answers but is reluctant to help the police. Still, Rhyme and Sachs and their assembled team begin uncovering a chilling pattern of vicious crimes and coverups, and their investigation points to one master criminal, whom they dub "522."
When "522" learns the identities of the crime-fighting team, the hunters become the hunted. Full of Deaver's trademark plot twists, "The Broken Window" will put the partnership of Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs to the ultimate test.
As usual, it's a Jeffrey Deaver book so I liked it. The book has some history about Lincoln Rhyme and that was interesting for me.
My last Africa post is about the Wild Dogs. I had the most fun watching these animals.
When there are wild dogs, there is something happening. They are curious, checking out a hippo. The hippo is too big for them to take on.
They don't like hyenas. The hyenas were trying to grab some of their leftover bones and the dogs were having none of it. There was yowling, howling, snapping, and snarling and the hyenas finally left.
Even when we caught them resting, one or two were up and around trying to find something to get into.
