Lemon Marmalade

I had lemons, lots of lemons.  So what's a girl to do?  Make Marmalade of course. Chopped lemons and sugar getting ready for a rest in the refrigerator overnight.

More sugar and a nice little boil.

Pouring into jars using my granny's old funnel.  It makes the jam taste better.

After spending time in the canner, I have a nice little supply to get me through the winter.

I used the recipe in Food in Jars by Marissa McClellan.  I read her blog too.

Tart and tangy.  Perfect for me.

The Wolf and the Crown

The Wolf and the Crown (Arthor, #3)The Wolf and the Crown by A.A. Attanasio

From the Goodreads website:

"The Warrior KingArthor, Eagle of Thor, must lead his people not only against their own ancient sorceries, but against the worldly empire that would make Britain's destiny a footnote to its own. Already rolling on the roads from Tintagel to Camelot is the great wheel that will become the Round Table.

But the perilous order promised by Arthor's victory is threatened by forces beyond human ken. For Merlin has descended into Hell, to fend with the Fire Lords who give the Universe its shimmering form. And for the young king himself, there is a sacred Grail, and an Earthly love, to seek....

The Wolf and the Crown

A. A. Attanasio's epic and lyrical retelling of humankind's most beloved legend weaves into one magnificent literary tapestry the hallowed warp of Arthurian lore, the shaggy woof of Druidic myth, and the shimmering strands of quantum science."

As usual, the more complicated the book, the more I seem to like it.  This is the third book in the series and I loved it.

Green Basic Socks

Time to start a new pair of socks.  I'm using the Basic Shaped Arch Socks pattern by Marlow Crawford. This pattern fits my foot really well.

The yarn is  Naked Sock and the color is Island Life.  I love it.  It is springy and stretchy and I could just play with it all day.

Beaded Linked Chain Stitch

I haven't given up on the tree skirt. Here is Beaded Linked Chain stitch.

It's a bit fiddly but I really like the way it looks on the tree skirt.  I found the stitch on the Pin Tangle website. Lots of stitches and excellent directions on that site.

Heart Quilt

The Heart quilt is loaded on Lenni.

I'm quilting a swirly thing and I put double batting under the hearts.  I'm hoping they will puff up. After I quilt the inside of the heart, I have to pick out the basting.

I'm quilting with black thread.  Given my skill level, that's probably a bad idea.  We'll all see the wobbles and bobbles.  But, I can see exactly where I need to improve.
