Monster Pants

I was reading one of my blogs, The Yarn Harlot, well, it's not really my blog.  It's one of the blogs I read on a regular basis, and she knit her grandson moster pants.  I am going to be a grandma and I can knit so

 

the beginnings of monster pants.  You can find the pattern on Ravelry.  It was a little confusing for me but I have a great local yarn shop, Needles in the Haymarket and Marti was able to get me started.
