Antelopes of Africa

These are some of the antelopes we saw in Africa.  There were the impala, lots of them.

Kudu with their beautiful horns.

 

Lechwe that like to stay near shallow water so the predators have a hard time chasing them. They are amazing jumpers.

 

A wildebeest hanging out with the impala.

 

There were wild dogs running around and the sable are grouping their babies in the middle of the adults.  

 

A giant herd of cape buffalo.  I'm not sure if they are technically antelopes, but they fit in here better than any of the other animals we saw.

This one is making sure we don't get too close.

 

Not much danger of that, these guys are really big.
