We just got back from a cruise to Alaska. Because I am a Nervous Nellie, we spent a few days in Victoria before the actual cruise. It is quite a ferry ride over from Vancouver. We had a nice walk to the Abkhazi Tea House and had tea.

The weather was perfect, cool and crisp, especially after the heat and humidity of Virginia.

This is a pretty cool plant in the gardens. It looked like climbing miniature purple peppers.

We explored the grounds at the Government House, downtown Victoria, and Cowichan Bay. One of my favorite places was Butchart Gardens.

These hanging baskets were everywhere and they were huge.

Overlooking one section of the garden. This used to be a stone quarry.

After our three days, I was about as relaxed as that dog.
