The Bone Collector

I've read a few more books lately.  I made a quick trip to Idaho a couple of weeks ago.  United Airlines conveniently stranded me in the Chicago airport for 12 hours (thanks United, flying Delta next time), so I had plenty of time to sit.   Please note, I used the word stranded.  This was not a weather delay.  I understand weather delays.   This was just a "We've cancelled your flight and here's what we've rearranged for you" kind of thing.  I don't want to fly when its not safe, but it seems like they should be able to provide the service that I had to pay for in advance, subject to change and cancellation penalties.

While I was stressed about other things, like getting to Boise at 11:45 p.m. and would the rental car place still be open, I was not stressed at all about running out of books because I had about 17 loaded on my Kindle.  This is why I love the Kindle.  I finished

The Whole Truth (Shaw, #1)The Whole Truth by David Baldacci

It is a secret operative, spy kind of book.  There was plenty of excitement and drama.   I would definitely recommend this book and I am really liking David Baldacci as an author.  He has several sets of characters which I like.  I get bored with the same guy doing super amazing things book after book.

 Then, I read

The Bone Collector (Lincoln Rhyme, #1)The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver

I have read one of his other books "Speaking in Tongues" and really liked that one too.  This one was a murder mystery in New York City with a couple of interesting twists.  I didn't know who the murderer was until the last 5 pages and it was quite a surprise.   I'm keeping him on the "Authors to Read" list.  In fact, I already have a couple more of his books at the ready.

The last book I finished was

The Book of Air and ShadowsThe Book of Air and Shadows by Michael Gruber

This was another author I haven't read before.   It is about finding a secret Shakespeare Manuscript.  The characters were interesting and I liked the writing style.  I don't know why the one of the nice main characters fell in love with that flaky girl though.

I've almost finished another book as well, but I'm not quite done yet.  I'm having a hard time getting into this one, hopefully it has a great ending.
